Description: In Allemagne Annee 90 Neuf Zero* Eddie Constantine plays the character of Lemmy Caution (Alphaville) for the final time* reprising (to a more radical end) the role of the hard-boiled detective/secret agent he had played in a series of French B-movies.

Characterized by deconstructivism and philosophical references and by briefly exposing the good* bad* and ugly periods of the country's history* this post-modern film portrays the abstract need for guidance of Germany following the fall of the Berlin Wall.

The reunification of the two parts of Germany in 1990 certainly was one of the most important political events in Europe since the second world war. Godard's movie is neither a movie in the traditional sense nor a documentary. It's rather a philosophical approach to that event - Godard shows short fragments of fictional and non-fictional episodes* opinions and facts served with an interesting musical (classical) music score. The movie itself is split into many titled chapters reminiscent of the last episodes of the fantastic japanese anime 'Neon Genesis Evangelion'.
