    Final Fantasy VII (Jap. ファイナル ファンタジー VII) - Japanese cult role-playing game developed by Square Co Ltd. (Now Square Enix) and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the Sony PlayStation in 1997 as numbered of the seventh game series Final Fantasy. The game was also ported to the operating system Windows. The port to Windows was released June 24, 1998 in the U.S. and June 25, 1998 in Europe. In 2009, the Final Fantasy VII has also been reissued for a network of PlayStation Network.

    Development of the game was conducted in 1994, first for a game console Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and then for the Nintendo 64, but due to technical limitations of the Nintendo 64 cartridge, Square decided to release a game for the Sony PlayStation. The development of the game led game designer Yoshinori Kitase, the music for the game written by composer Nobuo Uematsu.
