The survivors of a nuclear war are taken care of by robots called "fleshapoids." One day one of the fleshapoids runs wild, kills its "mistress," and hides in the home of a human female, for whom it begins to develop feelings.

This ultimate guilty pleasure is supposed to take place a million years into the future after a nuclear war, although you really wouldn't think so due to the cheap sets. The human race is at peace with each other, and have robot slaves called "fleshapoids" that are supposed to obey their every command. Then the fleshapoids begin to have sexual desires for humans and in typical Kuchar Brothers fashion, begin to mate with them.

This is everything that you want in an underground film. Cheap sets, vivid lighting inspired by Kenneth Anger and Douglas Sirk, Music stolen from old Hollywood movies, sex, and a really campy plot. There is no dialog in this movie. All of the lines are edited into the film as quote bubble like you would find in comic strips. The narrator is absolutely hilarious with nasal voice, and it's funny to see brand name foods like "Clark Bars" in a supposed post nuclear environment (although it looks like Fellini's SATYRICON). I don't know why I liked this movie, but I did.

?George and Mike Kuchar?s films were my first inspiration. George?s Hold Me While I?m Naked, Mike?s Sins Of The Fleshapoids ? these were the pivotal films of my youth, bigger influences than Warhol, Kenneth Anger, even The Wizard of Oz.? ? Filmmaker John Waters
