In the last little while I have noticed that there are a Lot of posts simply being sent to trash when a simple fix of an icon or a couple clicks to move it to the proper section is all that is needed. I have posted in the past and again just the other day to one of Ladybbirds threads that I usually FIX any post that is from a new member who has less then 10 posts that has a Wrong Icon, Bad Title, Live Links or is posted in Wrong Section and then send that member a polite PM explaining what I have changed and why and ask them to be more careful in the future, and if it continues in future posts that they will receive a Warning Infraction and then if it still continues then their posts are moved to the "RECYCLE BIN" for them to fix themselves... Posts with Live Links are still sent to 'Recycle Bin' (unless they are Porn, Phishing links or Fakes) which gives the member a chance to Edit/Code the links and asked to be moved back to forum. What confuses me........ is that once you are in the thread to look at it, It takes the same 2 clicks to either move it to the proper section/fix icon as it would to move it to Trash.... Personally, I do not agree with trashing a post and sending the poster a PM or Warning Infraction telling them to "re-post" it with the chance of it being posted incorrectly again even after giving suggestions as to why it was trashed in the first place... I have received a lot of PM's from frustrated members complaining about posts being removed without any notice and how it can be corrected.... Lately, it has come to the point where members are sending me PM's either with the link of their post or their post in the PM asking if it is correct and OK to post.... This is what we do not need. Agreed, the more experienced poster here should already know the rules, but I have also fixed their posts and sent them a PM asking to be more aware when posting as I just fixed one of their posts and give a Warning in PM and usually get a grateful reply. Granted we do not need to fix every post that has errors, but fixing a few and sending a PM should fall into the category of 'being of help' or 'Moderating', since that is what we were asked to do.... Please look at Pisko's post here in STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS..... to re-familiarize yourself with what was asked of us back in May..
