LG GDR-8164B is supposedly the best and the cheapest. its about 45.00 on ebay.

I use to use my wii to do it.......very time consuming though, can take up to 2 hours or more per game, but I can confirm that it will work. You need a homebrew program called WiiHTTP Dumper. You also need Firefox on your computer and your wii and computer on line at the same time.
Put the game in the wii
Run the wiihttp program in hbc and you will get something like this on the wii

    QuoteWiihttpd Webserver v0.0.1
Successfully loaded Custom IOS249. Disk dumping options enabled.
To exit, press A or press the reset button.
    Waiting for network to initialise...
Network initialised. Wii IP address: Your Wii IP will be here

Open firefox and type in the Ip off the wii above and you will see a page that says to download.......you will see that its the game it wants to download. You will see about 400 to 500 k per second download normally.

Due to the way the custom DIP Modules work, they do not support
DVDX, so cIOSCORP v3.4 now includes a workaround to this. Just run
the "cIOSCORP v3.4 Extras Installer" application via the
Homebrew Channel, and install the included IOS201 and DVDX channel.
Be aware that this WILL OVERRIDE ANY PREVIOUS DVDX INSTALLATION!!!
(This workaround may not work for some applications, or some users.)
